Long fittings for butt-welding and electrofusion
Akatherm long spigot fittings
Akatherm long spigot fittings are used to connect pipe sections with a diameter range from 20 mm to 500 mm.
The long spigot fittings are available in wall thickness SDR11, SDR17 and SDR33. The range consists of the following products:
- Stub flanges
- Tees 90° & 45°
- Elbows 90°, 45° & 30°
- Bends 90°
- Reducers concentric
- End caps
- Electrofusion couplers
Fittings made from pipe

The fittings made from pipe are available in wall thickness SDR11, SDR17 and SDR33. The range consists of the following products:
- Tees welded 90°, 60° & 45°
- Bends seamless formed 90°, 60°, 45°, 30°, 22° & 11°
- Bends welded 90°
These long spigot fittings and fittings made of pipe are primarily jointed to the pipe section by electrofusion. But it is also possible with the butt-welding method.
Electrofusion is a simple and rapid jointing technique for making permanent (non-detachable) joints with pipes.
Long spigot fittings are extremely efficient for the on-site electrofusion of pipes or prefabricated pipe sections.
The application of these long spigot fittings and fittings made from pipe is:
- in general the conveyance of fluids in drinking water distribution
- the transport of gasses in natural gas distribution
- the conveyance of solids
