Butt-welding

Butt-welding is a very economical and reliable jointing technique for making non-detachable welded joints, requiring only butt-welding equipment. All Akatherm spigot fittings can be joined by this welding method. Butt-welding is extremely suitable for prefabricating pipe sections and special fittings. Both Akatherm fittings with short spigot ends and fittings with long spigot ends are suitable for butt-welding. It is only allowed to butt-weld PE products to each other from the same wall thickness series.
